The host was supporting the winner of the series, wearing a pink two-piece look by the Minju Kim. Front Row Valentino Fall We all make mistakes. No worries at all! Loved this look in the original fabric Minju used but this is still nice. The bag and shoes ruin it I think, they are too heavy looking.

I was looking to see if anyone on the red carpet last night wore any of the designers clothes. I was hoping someone would have worn one of the contestants looks.

They were such a talented group! Loved the show but the editing was kinda poor.

If I am not mistaken the original look from the runway was in another shiny fabric? Anyway this was one of my favorite looks of the collection and I like it on Alexa, but her accessories kill it. The outfit looks sweet and warm, certainly not summery to me.

The accessories could be better. But its mostly the lipstick that bothers me. Its too harsh. Overall, for winter, I think the heaviness is nice. You learn something new everyday. Minju Kim won?? How annoying. I had 3 episodes left. I like the jacket and the colour, the skirt looks too heavy and I agree that the accessories bring it down.

And the skirt seems too big on her. I also dislike the bag with this outfit. The outfit is pretty the skirt needed last minute ironing but the accessories are all wrong.

You can head over to Net-a-Porter to shop pieces from the emerging designer. After we presented the collection with Net-a-Porter, some of the items were immediately sold out. We also received many requests to restock the pieces. I am so happy to be on this journey with Net-a-Porter. We definitely got a lot of help from them to develop the label more professionally. The last time we spokeyou mentioned that your FW20 collection would be shown at Seoul Fashion Weekwhich was canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. As a brand, how have you been navigating these unprecedented times? Our team worked really hard for the runway and we also made quite a big collection for the show.

We were so excited to show the new collection after NIF released, so when we heard that everything was going to be canceled, we tried to move as quickly as possible. For instance, we did a video runway with Vogue Korea and worked really hard to develop our website too. We need to find our own way to keep going. What was that experience like?

When we produced the videos with Vogue Koreathe collection looked very strong visually and I was able to convey the concept beautifully. I loved the mix between animation and images. However, we realized that creating videos can sometimes cost just as much as a physical show. I miss the runway and physical presentations. I think the runway really allows designers to share dramatic energy with the audience.

Everything has two different sides. After the pandemic, I realized how much I love the runway. It reminded me of five years ago when we discussed every show would soon be replaced by digital. I also miss the backstage moments. How do you think the pandemic has changed your future plans and outlook on the fashion industry?

Fans of the show will rightly suspect that all this attention sits rather uncomfortably with Kim, whose humility and humor won over audiences from the very first episode. However, the success of the series also means the spotlight is now squarely on the Seoul-based designer. Before taking part in the show, this kind of pressure may have overwhelmed the immensely talented yet introverted Kim, but she credits the process with instilling her with the confidence to believe in herself.

After completing an entire collection in three days, I know I am capable of anything.

The timing was so tough, but it made me fall in love with design all over again. She chose to study design at university because it was the closest she could get to fine art. It was here, under the tutelage of designer Walter Van Beirendonck — a member of the fabled Antwerp Six — that she developed a true fervor for her craft, and honed a distinct aesthetic, a kind of future-facing take on traditional femininity.

Injust after graduating, Kim was shortlisted for the prestigious LVMH prize before she had even fully established her label.
